UPDATE 11 September 2020
The night before this show was due to open, Southampton City Council instructed both this and the BOATS2020 shows to close, citing Covid-19 concerns.
Everyone involved with the show is extremely disappointed by this action, particularly as the council were heavily involved in the planning of the Covid-safe event from the outset. More info: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-54108248
Please do not travel to the show, as the council and Police are on site to turn visitors away.
However, we would still be delighted to show you the Dragonfly 28 and discuss any of the boats in our range. Together with many other exhibitors, we have relocated to the River Hamble and would be delighted to meet you there, but of course we must maintain social distancing so please contact us to arrange your visit. Please call 01243 370707 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Scott and the team at MDL Ocean Village Marina, who put in a huge effort and did a great job to create a Covid-safe event with rigourous checks and controls to ensure everyone’s safety. If you need a marina berth in Southampton, you can be sure of a warm welcome there
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be exhibiting Dragonfly trimarans at the Ocean Village Boat Show. This is on 11-20th September, and you’re invited!
Set in MDL’s stunning Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, the show promises a really special end to what’s been an unusual year. It’s been specifically designed to be as secure as possible for those visiting and exhibiting and the wider team. This means you’ll have to book an appointment in advance, and turn up a maximum of 30 mins beforehand (although you will have the opportunity to look around afterwards). You’ll need to wear a mask at all times while on site, and you’ll have to complete test and trace details (you’ll have the opportunity to do this in advance). There will be hand sanitiser available throughout the site.
We’ll be cleaning our boat between each appointment. The organiser’s allowed plenty of time between each appointment for us to make sure everything is ready for our next guests. And, numbers on the pontoons are being carefully managed so that there’s a steady flow of people around the site and pinch points are mitigated in advance.
MDL – the site owner – has worked carefully with Southampton City Council to make sure that all guidelines are being followed, and to make us all as secure as we can be.
We can’t wait to see you, so please book your first appointment today via https://www.mdlmarinas.co.uk/events/2020-09-11/the-ocean-village-boat-show.
