Dragonfly 25 is a high performance trailer-sailer trimaran for sport and racing sailors. The concept is simple – it’s easy to sail even single-handed, trailerable behind a normal family car, and the mast can even be stepped alone. This is the all-purpose, multifunctional multihull.
Dragonfly 25 is a great daysailer, a weekend cruiser with family and friends, or an exhilarating race boat. Two versions are offered, to suit different sailing styles: Dragonfly 25 Touring for family sport cruising, and Dragonfly 25 Sport with its taller carbon wing mast for more dynamic sailing and racing. Both versions feature a self-tacking jib for easy upwind sailing, while a Code 0 or gennaker can be added to maximise downwind thrills.
Dragonfly 25 accommodates 3 adults, or 2 adults plus 2 children, in an open-plan cabin with seated headroom. Although compact, the cabin is beautifully finished and offers plenty of stowage, which is supplemented by huge lockers in the floats. The kick-up rudder and centreboard allow your Dragonfly to float in knee-deep water. Therefore you’re free to to glide right up to your favourite beach and simply walk ashore.
The Swing Wing system allows your Dragonfly 25 to fit a single marina berth, or loaded onto the road trailer. As it’s so light, it can be towed behind a normal family car and set-up time from trailer to sailing can be as little as 30 minutes with 2 people. Even the mast can be raised solo.
Folding the floats out takes around 30 seconds per side. Firstly by pulling a rope, followed by a turn of the winch to set the trampoline tension.
We were very proud when Dragonfly 25 was awarded the prestigious title of European Yacht of the Year 2016, in the Multihull category.
