We are delighted that the new Dragonfly 40 has just been nominated for ‘European Yacht of the Year 2021′, in the Performance Cruiser category.

These prestigious annual awards are announced at a gala event during the Düsseldorf Boot show in January. The jury of leading yachting journalists including the UK’s Yachting World each nominate their favourite boats of the year, and the short-listed boats are assembled at trial events later in the year. The jury sail back-to-back tests over several days, before voting for the winners in each category.

Our boats have an extraordinary record in these awards. Every new model launched since 2003 has been nominated by the jury, and Dragonfly trimarans have won these prestigious awards 3 times:

Dragonfly 920 Extreme – European Yacht of the Year 2003 – yachts under 30ft
