DRAGONFLY 32 – PERFORMANCE CRUISER

DF 32 OVERVIEW

Dragonfly 32 is a fun and comfortable trimaran for offshore cruising in the fast lane, often with double-digit speeds on the log.

With more than 50 years of design and production experience of World-class trimarans, Dragonfly have combined elegant and functional design for easy handling with crew, as well as singlehanded sailing.

The helm remains light in all conditions, thanks to the natural balance of a trimaran. The narrow hulls slice smoothly through the waves, and as a result there is no pounding upwind. Huge stability minimises heeling, and prevents rolling down wind.

Dragonfly 32 offers 6 berth accommodation, with two cabins and generous headroom. It is offered in two versions, Touring and the new Evolution which features new wave-piercing floats plus a taller, more powerful rig.

Large lockers in the floats store extra sails, folding bikes and all your cruising gear.

Kick-up rudder and centreboard give access to shallow anchorages. As a result, you enjoy those perfect spots denied to other yachts. At anchor Dragonfly 32 feels like your own private island, because there’s space to spread out. The trampolines are perfect for sun-worshipers, and a great platform to rig a windsurfer.

The Swing Wing system allows Dragonfly 32 to fold quickly to reduce beam by 50%, without using any tools. As a result, it fits a single marina berth.

“It may come as a surprise to hear many sailors talk about a Dragonfly topping their dreamboat wishlist. Sail one, however, and you understand immediately. These Danish trimarans fly, but are also seaworthy and solid”

“The performance of my Dragonfly 32 Touring has exceeded expectations at every turn.  I have cruised the west coast of Scotland extensively, and found the DF 32 to be a comfortable, fast cruising boat in all conditions.”

“Our trip was 1,900nm from South Africa to Tanzania with top winds at 48 knots and breaking seas of 7-8m. The boat never once missed a step. I can’t recommend the Dragonfly 32 enough”

“At 10 – 12 knots, and 30° to the apparent wind, tacking close to the shore, the Dragonfly gave us a real demonstration! Some monohulls, close-hauled and grinding the winches, were quickly left behind”

This is one of those boats where you’d never guess just how much volume there is inside simply looking at it from the dock
