Welcome to our Dragonfly 25 virtual tour, which focuses on the smallest model in our range.  However, don’t let that deter you, as Dragonfly 25 has a huge heart and offers exhilarating sailing at 20+ knots. It’s also easy and safe to sail for newcomers to trimaran sailing.

Peter Quorning is once again your host, and is an expert on Dragonfly 25. He was class winner in the Silverrudder solo race in Denmark on a Dragonfly 25 Sport.

This lightweight, weekend cruiser and racer is easy to launch, rig and sail. Reducing the hull volume compared to Dragonfly 28 creates a much lighter boat. However, it still offers 2+2 accommodation with seated headroom, to suit a couple or a young family.

All the sail controls are led back to the cockpit for easy control and it has a self-tacking jib. Solo sailing is easy and safe too.

We offer two versions of Dragonfly 25, to suit different sailing plans. They share identical accommodation, so only the rigs are different. Firstly, the Dragonfly 25 Touring with a 10.6m alloy rotating mast offers fantastic introduction to the joys of trimaran sailing.

Secondly, the more powerful Dragonfly 25 Sport has a taller 12m carbon wing mast plus high-tech sails. This model is aimed at regatta and sport-sailing enthusiasts, who appreciate life in the fast lane.  Round the Island race 2015 was its first UK race, and we recorded the 23rd fastest elapsed time in a fleet of 1,400+ boats.

In addition, Dragonfly 25 was the first boat with our new floats with our latest wave-piercing design. These have greater volume low down, to increase diagonal stability when sailing off the wind. With experience, Dragonfly 25 Sport can exceed 20 knots of boat speed, and you’ll often match windspeed on a reach.

In conclusion, this pocket rocket is the perfect weekend sports boat.
